Toyota Denso tune files and map packs — Gen 1, 2 and 3

From the V850 Gen 1 on the 70 Series to the RH850 Gen 3 on the 48V Hilux, we decompile Toyota’s Denso firmware ourselves and build our definitions from it. Tune files, WinOLS map packs, DAMOS and multimap builds for Hilux, LandCruiser, Prado, Fortuner and HiAce.

The three generations

Toyota’s diesel ECUs fall into three families. We work on all of them from the code up.

Gen 1 — Denso V850E

LandCruiser 70 Series 1VD-FTV (6AE91, 60P90, 6AE40 and more), LandCruiser 200 1VD-FTV (60U85, 60K62), Hilux and Prado 1KD-FTV / 2KD-FTV, HiAce 1KD. Tune files, full map packs, DPF/EGR solutions and multimap (map-switch) builds.

Gen 2 — Denso V850 (2 MB)

Hilux and Fortuner 1GD-FTV / 2GD-FTV (e.g. FAK80 family), Prado 1GD. Custom calibrations, map packs, multimap work.

Gen 3 — Denso RH850 (4 MB)

Current Hilux (FAF31 family), the new 48V mild-hybrid Hilux (89663-FAN90), LandCruiser 300 and the 4-cylinder LandCruiser (6AJ80). We decompiled FAN90 from scratch — see the case study below.

Transmission (TCU)

Shift-map decoding and tuning on Toyota autos, including the 4-cylinder LandCruiser 6AJ80 shift maps and Hilux Gen 3 transmission torque limits.

Multimap builds

Cabin-switchable calibrations on Gen 1, 2 and 3 — custom code work, not a map edit, built to avoid the defects common in third-party multimaps. Quoted per job.

Why decompile instead of pattern-match

Generic Toyota packs are made by searching for shapes in the hex and guessing. On a new calibration like the 48V Hilux, that’s how you get a limp-mode ute. We work through the firmware to find how the code actually uses each map — torque request, injection, rail pressure, boost, limiters and the hybrid torque-assist logic — so every axis, scaling and unit in the definition is right and the tune behaves predictably.

That same work is why our Gen 1 map packs include things other packs miss, and why we can build multimaps that don’t corrupt DTC tables.

Toyota Denso FAQ

Do you have definitions for the 48V Hilux (89663-FAN90)?

Yes — we decompiled the FAN90 firmware and built a full WinOLS definition set, map pack and Stage 1 tune for a NSW tuning franchise. Available to trade customers.

Which LandCruiser 70 software versions do you cover?

6AE91, 60P90, 6AE40 and other 1VD-FTV variants, plus LC200 60U85 and 60K62. Text the software number from your read and we’ll confirm.

Can you do a map-switch / multimap on a Toyota?

Yes, on Gen 1, 2 and 3. It’s custom code work quoted per job; we build it to avoid the RAM-overlap and DTC-table defects seen in third-party multimaps.

How are files delivered?

WhatsApp your read to 0466 659 997 for a hand-built file, usually in 10–20 minutes during file-service hours (9am–9pm Mon–Sat AEST), or upload at tacfiles.com for an automated return.
