DynoTrace — log, diagnose and tune with any J2534 interface
DynoTrace is the Windows app we built for our own dyno and file work: a live J2534 data logger, a log viewer that overlays before-and-after runs, an all-module fault-code scanner, and a live map visualiser that drives your WinOLS map list from the log. One licence, any pass-thru interface.
Built by The Automotive Clinic in Dandenong and used daily on our own 4WD and diesel calibrations. Sold and licensed through our file portal, tacfiles.com.
What it does
Live J2534 logging
Read-only logging over any pass-thru interface with built-in vehicle profiles for Toyota and Lexus, LandCruiser 70 and 200, Isuzu D-Max, Mazda BT-50 and generic OBD-II, plus passive broadcast decoding for many other makes. Multi-DID batching keeps the sample rate high on UDS cars.
Before / after log viewer
Overlay two runs to see exactly what a file changed. Opens DynoTrace, Techstream, FORScan, HP Tuners, VCDS, G-IDSS and generic CSV logs, and can add a derived wideband AFR / lambda channel from a voltage input.
WinOLS live map visualiser
Load your WinOLS map list and watch the logged operating point move across each map in real time — boost, rail pressure, injection quantity, torque limiters — so you know which cell you’re sitting in without guessing.
All-module diagnostics
Stored, pending and permanent codes from every module on the bus in one sweep, decoded against an 18,000+ code database across 30+ brands, with per-module clearing and a CAN sniffer for the awkward jobs.
Tuner calculators
Dyno graphs, MAF scaling, injector calculator, wideband AFR / lambda conversion, unit converters and an OLS helper — the small tools you otherwise keep in a spreadsheet.
Keeps itself current
Automatic updates, online activation from the Machine ID shown in the app, and an optional separately-licensed programming module for supported platforms.

Licence & requirements
Purchase, download and licence keys are handled on the portal. Keys are issued against your Machine ID and are non-refundable once generated, so check the requirements above first.
